The Makita 8406 Core Drill is designed with a D shaped handle for added comfort and extra grip. It is also equipped with a variable speed trigger giving maximum control to the user when in use.It uses a percussion mode for pilot hole drilling and a rotary mode for when the core becomes engaged in the application. Featuring a torque limiter as an added safety measure to prevent operator injury if the core bit snags with double insulation to further protect the user.
